B i o g r a p h y

Born in August 1986 in Ivrea (Italy), he started playing the piano at the age of 7.  He attended the Conservatory of Aosta (Italy), where he graduated with top marks in classical piano.  Later he approaches the study of jazz with Mario Rusca, Franco D’Andrea, Lucio Terzano, Renato Chicco, Dado Moroni, Fabrizio Bernasconi, Andrea Pozza, after which he continues his studies at the “Haute Ecole de Musique” de Lausanne in Switzerland with Emil Spanyi where he obtained a bachelor's and a master’s in jazz piano.

 

Through the years he has had the opportunity of playing with the following musicians both national and international: Fabrizio Zanotti , Mauro Gino, Marco Giovinazzo, Barbara Raimondi, Alessandro Minetto, Federico Puppi, Alberto Mandarini, Stefeno Blanc, Leonard Simaku, Eriola Gripshi, Massimo Baldioli, Enrico Ruggeri, Danielle Di Majo, Roberto Regis, Carlo Pavese, Thierriè Lalo , Ruben Bellavia, Michele Aneli, Fabrizio Bosso..

After playing with many bands of different styles, he decided to spend some time on his music and started his own quartet, Federico Monetta Quartet, with whom he released the albums "Walking in my soul" and "Lakes". With the Federico Monetta quartet he has toured all over Europe.

 

 

Currently teaching jazz piano at the EJMA Valais in Martigny, Sion and Sierre, Switzerland.
